5 Ways to Workout on a Budget

In the current economy, many people are taking exercise out of their budget. With these five budget safe exercise ideas, you can lose weight and stay in shape with out going broke.

1. Ebay and other discount sites - You don’t need to be in a classroom with a peppy teacher to get those hard workouts you love. On Ebay you can search for your favorite workout DVDs at prices you can afford for the same quality as classes at the gym. You can also find workout DVDs listed on craiglist.com and online DVD retailers at ultra deep discounts.

2. Search Yard Sales- There are many people that buy exercise equipment expecting to use it and then never do. When they don’t use it, the sell it for low prices that may fit into your tight budget. Many will even bargain just to get rid of it so it’s not still sitting around reminding them that they aren’t using it. Just don’t let it happen to you!

3. Tag Along!- Find a friend that has a gym membership and tag along with them. Most gyms allow member’s guest passes to bring their friends with them. It allows you all the same benefits without paying a dime.

4. Circuit Training at the park- You don’t need to be in your home or a gym to exercise. Go down to the nearest park and use the benches to stretch. Run the hiking trails and stop every once and a while for little burst of different activities. This is an easy way to get out and enjoy the day while saving money.

5. Home Gym - Another easy way to save money is to use the things you all ready have. You can sit on a soccer ball as a makeshift abdominal cruncher. Or, use a stair to work your calves. Many other household objects can help you get fit with out spending money on new equipment.

These five tips can help you get fit and stay fit without breaking the bank. Just be sure not too be too cheap and to always work out safely. Always see a doctor before you begin any new diet or exercise plan.
